Carlos is a professional mountain guide and has been the president of the Association of Peruvian Mountain guides for many years. He has lead many expeditions in southern Peru, and taken part in five ascents of Aconcagua (the highest mountain in the America’s) and several climbs in Northern Chile, Argentina and Bolivia. He participated in the mountain expedition that discovered the now famous “Juanita” mummy at the Volcano Coropuna near the Colca Canyon.
