Is travel insurance required?
For trips organized by Classic Travel, medical insurance is mandatory and cancellation insurance is highly recommended. Prior to the commencement of the trip, we will request all trip participants to provide a copy of their travel insurance certificate.
Where can I purchase travel insurance?
Travel insurance can be purchased through Classic Travel - our plans are available to all our clients regardless of nationality and residency. We offer travel medical insurance as well as more comprehensive insurance packages that cover trip cancellation, trip interruption, travel delay, baggage loss, and more. During the reservation process we will provide you with our insurance options.
When do I purchase travel insurance?
Medical insurance for your travels can be purchased at anytime prior to the trip departure. However if you would also like insurance for trip cancellation and interruption, the insurance purchase must be made within 10 days of your initial deposit / first payment.
What is the cost?
Less than you would expect! Insurance rates vary based on trip price and traveler age. The typical price for someone between 35-55 years of age for a $3,000 trip is around $120 to $140, from ages 56-64 around $150 to $170, and from ages 65-72 around $210 to $230 for a complete insurance package (medical, cancellation, etc).
